Atrium will now manage over 4,500 units across Florida and Virginia

ORLANDO, Fla. - Nyenta -- Atrium Management Company, one of the largest privately-owned property management companies in Central Florida, announced today that it is merging with Dodson Multi-Family, a division of the Dodson Companies based in Richmond, Virginia. This partnership expands Atrium's presence on the East Coast.

Following smaller, in-state acquisitions in Melbourne and Lakeland, this merger gives Atrium its first foothold outside the state of Florida. The addition of Dodson's 1,650 multi-family units as well as local staff will allow the company to effectively double in size.

"Dodson is a leader in the Virginia market and this opportunity allows Atrium the chance to further expand our footprint along the East Coast," said Michael Krause, Partner at Atrium. "It's unique to find another great company that shares similar core values, but we have found just that in Dodson," he added.

Dodson's local team in Virginia will remain in place and clients and residents will experience a seamless transition as the two organizations merge operations. Owners and residents will maintain the same contacts they already know, and over time will experience improving processes and use of best-in-class property-management technologies.

Dodson was founded in 2007 as a property management and real estate company, and today operates a commercial property management and brokerage division, a real estate development group, and a short-term rental management division.

"Atrium has a large and respected presence in Central Florida, a dynamic culture that is much like our own, and experience with both property management and development, so it was a natural fit for us," said Duke Dodson, President of the Dodson Companies. "This is a merger that will allow our teams to scale, share resources, and create efficiencies to best serve our owners and tenants."

When the merger is completed, Atrium will manage over 4,500 units across Florida and Virginia.
