Boeing Suppliers & Passengers CONTACT BOEING!!
Manufacturers Forced to Hold AS9100 Certification Must Take Charge as Boeing Evaded Standards for 22 Years, Putting Millions at Risk.

NEW YORK - Nyenta -- DARYL GUBERMAN, recognized 40-year quality assurance expert, has issued a stark warning to aerospace manufacturers and the flying public: between 8,000 and 12,000 planes built from 2002 to 2024 may have bypassed proper inspections and audits, posing a serious and ongoing threat to passenger safety.

At the center of the crisis is Boeing's failure to maintain AS9100 certification for over 22 years, even as it demanded that its suppliers comply, under ANSI–ANAB and international accreditation.

"This is not a bureaucratic lapse — it's a structural failure compromising every aircraft flying today," said Guberman. "Manufacturers were left unchecked because audits occurred only 'if need arises' or 'if need be.' That language left gaping holes in the safety chain."

Boeing as Its Own Regulator: A Deadly Conflict

In 2009, Boeing became an FAA agency, gaining authority to self-certify aircraft, new designs, and technologies — including the MCAS system, linked to two crashes and over 300 deaths. Certain Boeing employees were designated dual Boeing/FAA inspectors, yet paid by Boeing. https://avweb.com/news/faa-grants-boeing-more-autonomy-on-certification/

"The CEO at the time was effectively an FAA administrator. After the crashes, the FAA admitted they never allow manufacturers to police themselves or self-certify — yet Boeing did this for a decade," Guberman said.

A tangled web of conflict exists: DOJ, DHS, DOC, and FDA are not only ANSI–ANAB board members but also customers, and ANSI–ANAB underwrites the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and its global equivalents. Accountability for systemic failures rests squarely on these organizations.

Post-9/11 Layoffs and Supplier Bulletins: A Red Flag

After the September 11 attacks, Boeing publicly announced plans to lay off 20,000–30,000 employees. https://djcoregon.com/news/2001/09/20/boeing-to-cut-20000-to-30000-jobs-by-the-end-of-2002-10506/  Seven months later, in April and July 2002, the company issued supplier bulletins containing the language "if need arises" or "if need be," leaving critical audit responsibilities unclear. These bulletins effectively created gaping holes in the oversight chain, at a time when suppliers were forced to maintain AS9100 certification only accredited by ANSI-ANAB, while Boeing itself remained uncertified for 22 years!

Manufacturers-Suppliers: Required to Hold AS9100 Only If ANSI–ANAB Accredited

"Suppliers were forced to comply with AS9100 only if accredited under the American National Standards Institute – ANSI–ANAB," Guberman explained. "Meanwhile, Boeing itself flew unaccredited for 22 years, yet demanded strict compliance from its network."     https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/boeing-brief-european-regulators-new-production-plans-after-737-max-panel-2024-06-27/

All Manufacturers & Suppliers — AS9100 and Other ISO/AS Certifications Compromised by Boeing & ANSI–ANAB Collusion

"This lapse by Boeing, in collusion with ANSI–ANAB, dilutes the efficacy and legitimacy of any certification you may hold — whether AS9100, other AS standards, or ISO derivatives," Guberman warned.

Manufacturers were called out in Boeing's July 2002 supplier bulletin that they were required to be AS9100, ANSI–ANAB accredited, and also on the Boeing supplier portal, which is designed to guide suppliers on certification requirements to become a Boeing supplier. Additionally, on the ANSI–ANAB website and the Management System Accreditation Council, where Boeing sat with others who had authority to grant, suspend, or withdraw certifications.

"How could Boeing sit on the Management System Accreditation Council and hold the power to grant, suspend, and withdraw certifications when it did not hold AS9100 itself for 22 years? This is blatant FRAUD! — to you, the manufacturer-supplier, and to the flying public," Guberman stated.

MANUFACTURERS, SUPPLIERS & ASSOCIATIONS: Take Charge Now

Guberman issues a direct warning to manufacturers, suppliers required to hold AS9100 under ANSI–ANAB accreditation:
  • Demand proof of validity: from Boeing and your accreditation body ANSI-ANAB
  • Be prepared: "They may disparage this press release and message, but compliance as sold to you is a lie — and we have the proof," said Guberman.
FLYING PUBLIC: Demand Answers

Passengers must act immediately:
  • Contact Boeing or your airline for documentation of aircraft safety compliance.
  • Guberman's October 2024 inspection of Boeing facilities in Renton, Auburn, Everett, and Northfield revealed the majority of employees had no knowledge of AS9100 requirements or internal audits.

OASIS Database Conflict: The Safety Net That Failed

In 2003, Boeing, ANSI–ANAB  required AS9100 suppliers to register in (OASIS)-Online Aerospace System Information Systems under "Heads Up 22." Boeing controlled the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG), yet itself held no valid certification for 22 years, creating a catastrophic gap in oversight. They mandated the AS9100 suppliers could not refuse to be  placed on the data-base or pay database fees, If they did they would have their certification taken away.

Public Safety in the Balance

"This is not a minor oversight — it's a betrayal of trust spanning two decades. Lives are at risk, and the integrity of the entire certification network has been undermined," said Guberman.

What to Do Next
  • Manufacturers: Reassess your certification status immediately.
  • Travelers: Demand full transparency from Boeing and your airline.

Direct contact numbers for Boeing and accreditation bodies will be released with Guberman's upcoming video statement.
