BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Nyenta -- Stephen Girouard's latest short film "To Be a Contender" will premier in 2026 at a film festival yet to be determined.  Stay tuned!  This film maker is a glutton for punishment taking on the roles of Writer, Director, Producer, and Lead actor for this film.  Hey we might as well mention that two of Sg's original songs make an apperience in the film - "Nobody Knocks" and "I am Here". (available on streaming services)

Sg did have plenty of help on this project though, with Johnny Sousa as Director of Photography and a fine Editing job by Beth Rosen.  And we were very fortunate to have Rolando Masis - Obando taking care of all VFX work.

My good friend Ji-Eun Reynolds makes her film debut in a wonderful supporting role as G-Force.  She's been making her way around NYC for years in a wheelchair and I just had to bring her in on this project. We shot a couple of wonderful scenes with her at Gum Studios in Brooklyn.

Sg has recently appeared in lead roles on the popular True Crime Show "Evil Lives Here" check out  S17 E6 and S18 E10  He kills it, if you know what I mean
