NEW YORK - Nyenta -- New York, NY — BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center invites families to a delightful theatrical treat with Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical!, based on Mo Willems's beloved picture book, on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11 AM. General Admission tickets are $40, and $30 for 5Club members.

A bright, energetic show filled with catchy tunes and laugh‑out‑loud moments, it's ideal for parents and kids experiencing theater together for the first time. This spirited adaptation features the shape‑shifting antics of Willems's irrepressible pigeon, who tries every trick to take over the bus—only to charm audiences of all ages with humor, heart, and spontaneity.

It's not easy being the Pigeon-you never get to do ANYTHING! But when the Bus Driver has a crisis that threatens to make her passengers (gasp!) late, maybe that wily bird CAN do something. Featuring an innovative mix of songs, and feathers, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! is sure to get everyone's wings flapping. The production runs for approximately 60 minutes and is recommended for ages 4-7. Based on the book Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! by Mo Willems, published by Hyperion Books for Children, the show features a script by Mo Willems and Mr. Warburton, lyrics by Mo Willems, music by Deborah Wicks La Puma, and dramaturgy by Megan Alrutz. This play was commissioned by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and was first produced at the Kennedy Center during the 2019-2020 season.
