Boeing risks becoming a secondary player without bold leadership, warns QA expert Daryl Guberman after a month-long facility visits Renton,Everett, Northfield, Auburn
NEW YORK - Nyenta -- Boeing's position as a global aviation leader is under serious threat due to longstanding management failures, according to QA expert and Boeing shareholder Daryl Guberman. His recent involvement at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) subcommittee and direct engagement with Boeing's workforce have highlighted urgent issues that need to be addressed if the company is to remain competitive in the aerospace sector.
On April 17, 2024, Guberman attended a whistleblower deposition at the DHS subcommittee in Washington, D.C. Though not formally invited to speak, he stood up and gave his deposition regarding Boeing's 22-year practice of relinquishing on-site auditing, an issue he believes has directly contributed to the company's current challenges. https://www.prlog.org/13054756-behind-the-skies-daryl-gubermans-alarming-insights-on-boeing-quality-control-and-aviation-safety.html

Following this, Guberman returned to the DHS subcommittee on June 18, where he observed Boeing CEO David Calhoun's deposition. Upon discovering that Calhoun's background was in accounting rather than engineering or aviation, Guberman became increasingly concerned about Boeing's leadership capabilities. To address these concerns, in July, Guberman submitted a 42-page document, including his résumé and 11 letters of recommendation, to Boeing's Board of Directors at their corporate headquarters in Virginia. This document outlined specific actions that Boeing must take to restore trust, improve quality, and strengthen leadership.
In addition to his advocacy at the national level, Guberman spent nearly a month visiting Boeing's facilities in Renton, Auburn, Northfield, and Everett, speaking directly with rank-and-file members of IAM 751. He stressed that Boeing's recovery requires hands-on leadership with practical, real-world experience.
"What Boeing needs isn't another dark horse—it needs a Clydesdale: strong, steady leadership that's willing to roll up its sleeves and get to work," said Guberman. He emphasized that merely rotating personnel without bringing in new perspectives won't solve the company's deep-rooted problems. "Without an outsider like myself stepping in, Boeing will continue to suffer from internal inertia." https://www.openpr.com/news/3759898/the-dark-horse-solution-how-daryl-guberman-can-help-boeing

As a dedicated Boeing shareholder, Guberman believes in the company's potential but insists on the need for immediate reforms. "I've spent my career leading successful quality transformations. I offer Boeing the leadership it requires: someone who's unafraid to engage directly with suppliers and workers and who's committed to delivering real-world results."
Guberman's actions have drawn attention to Boeing's ongoing struggles as competitors like Airbus continue to expand their market share. Without bold and immediate action, he warns, Boeing risks losing its position as an industry leader.
"Boeing's future depends on courageous leadership and fresh ideas," Guberman concluded. "I'm prepared to offer exactly that, not with arrogance, but with the experience and resolve needed to drive lasting change."
