This Saturday from Noon to 4 p.m. – 718 Broadway, Kingston, NY – Free to All
KINGSTON, N.Y. - Nyenta -- Kingston Midtown Rising (KMR) invites the community to celebrate the 3rd birthday of its laundromat, the Broadway Bubble at 718 Broadway in Kingston, on Saturday.
The event will mark the unveiling of newly installed washing machines that are more efficient and more environmentally friendly. A total of 39 outmoded machines were replaced during the current phase of the facility's upgrade.
The birthday party, set to run from 12 noon to 4 p.m., will offer free food, music, activities, raffles, and more. All are welcome and no prior registration is required.
"You can also bring your laundry," says Laundromat Manager Enma Villacis. "We are so grateful to NoVo in Kingston for their support of our mission and for their purchase of the new washers that were installed last week. The dryers will also be replaced later this year."

"The new equipment represents another long-term, strategic investment in the well-being and dignity of the people who live in our community. Our organization offers low-cost options and free services to those who need them, as well as high quality wash-and-fold and pickup-and-drop-off services that will soon be available throughout Kingston and the surrounding area," adds Jordan Scruggs, a KMR board member.
Beyond the renovated laundromat, the Broadway Bubble houses a Community Hub with a classroom, kitchenette and the adjacent yard and playground, providing a safe environment where staff of the nonprofit Kingston Midtown Rising work one-on-one and in groups to support those who live, work and play on both sides of Broadway between Uptown and Downtown Kingston.
