BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Nyenta -- Sergio Delavicci, actor, humanitarian, and philanthropist known for his role in John Wick 3, Creed 2, and Power is taking action. Delavicci is visiting NYPD precincts in Brooklyn to let officers know that they are appreciated. His goal is to bridge the gap between the community and NYPD. To date he has visited the 61st, 62nd, 71st, and 75th precincts to bring inspiration and hope to officers while spearheading an open dialogue with community leaders to discuss sustainable solutions to systemic change.
In today's societal climate police officers are underappreciated and feel like they are working a thankless job. Communities rely on police in times of crisis and the police are the first one's called onto the scene when there is trouble.
Change doesn't happen overnight, instead it's built on open honest dialogues from both sides- the community and the NYPD. "Many of these officers want to be able to make a difference in their communities and go home to their families," states Delavicci. He also says, "not every officer in a uniform is a bad person." In order to see real change happen it takes each and everyone of us to come to the table and openly discuss solutions with accountability.

According to the NYPD there is an astonishing 411% increase in officers who are filing for retirement compared to 2019. This is reflective of the current emotional state as an unnamed officer quoted in the NY Post says, "Why would you want to stay on this job when people don't appreciate what you do?"
Delavicci's impassioned goal is to see communities come together and help each other through this as we're all one race, the human race.
