From color to curves, the new Ivey Abitz clothing designs harken back to a day when Americans ate at their tables and dressed with purpose. Light, joyful colors and easy going curves make the 76th collection of Ivey Abitz a daily delight for women.
HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. - Nyenta -- The 76th collection of bespoke clothing from Ivey Abitz was inspired by designers Mary and Russel Wright. Together as husband and wife, the Wrights designed pottery and casual everyday china in the 1940's. It was meant to give American dining tables a look of individuality. By mixing and matching different hues within a collection of tableware, every meal could look different.
Decades later, Ivey Abitz still connects with their design philosophy. This is proof that authenticity is always relevant and in style. Since its first collection in 2006, Ivey Abitz has celebrated individuality and given the wearer many options within their wardrobe.
Cynthia Ivey Abitz, the designer of Ivey Abitz clothing, lives and designs just a few short miles from the Russel Wright studio, now a museum. The Wright studio is called "Manitoga," which means "place of great spirit." Cynthia Ivey Abitz found plenty of spirit when she visited in the spring. She was seeking a glimpse of the place that inspired Wright the artist.

"My sense of place influences so much of my life and work, so I really wanted to see and feel what was surrounding Russel Wright as he worked. Of course, I've lived with his tableware most of my adult life, but it was time for me to visit his creative den," designer Ivey Abitz explained.
The Wright studio was built into rock overlooking a waterfall and pond with the Hudson River in the distance. It's a scene that Ivey Abitz finds idyllic.
This latest Ivey Abitz collection of clothing is a celebration of bold hues and infinite ensemble possibilities. The look book features 76 ensembles to represent a sampling of what is possible. Customers can mix and match for years to come with this visually striking and pleasantly casual new collection.
Cynthia Ivey Abitz started her clothing company in 2006 as a means to celebrate everyday life through meaningful design. She believes to her core that good design brings joy to each and every day.
