Manage and grow your wealth across the Canada-U.S. border with a recognized leader in cross-border wealth management.

NEW YORK - Nyenta -- Michael Dehal, a Canadian financial services professional, philanthropist, and Senior Portfolio Manager at Raymond James, where he leads Dehal Investment Partners Ltd., specializing in private wealth management and institutional cash management will join economist Tom Hegna in this week's episode of "Financial Freedom with Tom Hegna" coming up on CNBC.

Based in Toronto, Michael's passion for finance and market studies began at 16 when he bought his first stock. He later earned his CMA/CPA and CIM and became licensed to offer services to US residents. This dual licensing has become a key differentiator for Dehal, who operates in both private wealth management and institutional cash management. His cross-border capabilities enable him to provide multinational wealth management services to corporations, and they are also valuable for employees transferring to the US.

Whether clients are moving from Canada to the US or the US to Canada, Michael and his firm can manage their investment accounts and retirement savings on both sides of the border. This allows for one unified financial plan, retirement plan, and investment strategy.

Michael states, "The US component  allows us to broaden our horizons in both Canada and the US. We are seeing more of it, not only with people who get transferred for work, but also snowbirds and those who just don't want to have an advisor in both countries."

Being dually licensed in both Canada and the U.S., Michael offers an integrated wealth management approach and provides unique solutions to assist clients in navigating the financial, tax, and legal complexities presented by the border. They work with families and individuals who move across borders, managing their investment accounts and retirement savings in both countries, taking into account taxation rules, residency rules, and estate planning.

Michael has built his successful practice on providing impeccable service to his clients. Beyond his professional expertise, Michael's core value is client service. He emphasizes, "Your clients have to put their trust and confidence in you and you have to give back to them with service." Giving back is also a priority for Michael; in 2020, he won the Wealth Professional Award for Excellence in Philanthropy and Community Service. This was partly for his role as CEO of the Cleft Prevention International Foundation, an organization focused on decreasing the prevalence of cleft lip and palate anomalies, a cause close to his heart as he was born with the condition. He also serves on the family services committee at the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association and supports several orphanages in India.

Below is a short clip of the inspiring interview with Tom Hegna and Michael Dehal, scheduled to air as sponsored content on CNBC at 2:00 PM EST on Saturday, September 13th.
