~ New York City was buzzing with excitement as DEWALT, a leading brand in total jobsite solutions, celebrated its 100th year anniversary. The company's President and CEO, Donald Allan Jr., rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange to mark this momentous occasion.
"Since 1924, DEWALT has been dedicated to providing industry professionals with top-of-the-line jobsite solutions while also supporting the next generation of skilled workers," said Allan. "It is an honor to celebrate our 100th anniversary at the New York Stock Exchange and recognize the outstanding contributions of tradespeople across the United States. Today, we are proud to share this milestone with the tradespeople of New York City and express our unwavering appreciation for their hard work in building and advancing this city."
As part of their celebration, DEWALT showed their gratitude to current and future tradespeople throughout the day. A custom DEWALT truck designed to look like their iconic yellow toolbox made several stops around the city, personally thanking trade professionals.

The first stop was at one of the largest jobsites in midtown where over 1,000 construction workers were treated to breakfast, coffee, and DEWALT gear. They also had the opportunity to meet New York Giants Quarterback Tommy DeVito.
DEWALT continued their day of thanks by teaming up with former NFL Quarterback and popular sports radio host Boomer Esiason. Together they delivered $100,000 worth of free tools to trade apprentices at two local training centers - the New York City District Council of Carpenters Training Center (CTC) and UA Local Union No. 1 Plumbers & Gas-Fitters Training Center.
"It's an honor to join DEWALT in thanking these hardworking tradespeople who play such a vital role in building our city," said Esiason. "I'm excited to help unload equipment at the CTC and see the apprentices' faces light up as they receive the latest tools and technology from DEWALT."
DEWALT's Chief Operating Officer, Chris Nelson, also expressed his excitement for the company's 100th anniversary. "Today, we celebrate our history by standing strong with the professionals who have fueled DEWALT's purpose since day one," said Nelson. "We are committed to staying at the forefront of jobsite innovation and providing the best tools for the world's most demanding tradespeople."

In addition to their celebrations, DEWALT also announced that applications are now open for their 2024 Grow the Trades Grant program. This program is part of their $30 million commitment over five years to support organizations that are skilling, reskilling, and upskilling tradespeople. They will also begin accepting applicants in September for their annual DEWALT Trades Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to students pursuing a career in the trades.
