The multi-media project sharing cross racial experiences of anti-AAPI hate acts with a focus on solutions through cross racial coalitions will air on September 18, 2022
MANHATTAN, N.Y. - Nyenta -- Actor Jennifer Betit Yen and Audiovisual Engineer Ray Lanuza combined forces to create a multi-media project sharing stories of anti-AAPI hate incidents collected from people across the country. The made-for-television program focuses on creative storytelling to build empathy and awareness and encourages forging cross racial coalitions to fight racism. Jennifer Betit Yen commented, "Ray and I are very grateful to the Asian American Arts Alliance and CrossingsTV for their support, as well as to all the incredible cast and crew who made this show possible." Talent featured on the show include Betit Yen, Erin Quill, Keisuke Hoashi, Tyler Ham Pong, Lanuza, Yumi Lawlor, Lisa Barcelo Story, and more. Daniel Sakaya, President and COO of CrossingsTV, noted, "We're honored that the Asian American Film Lab has chosen Crossings TV to exhibit this most imminent and profound showcase of stories aimed at empowering our Asian American communities to stand against the anti-Asian hate sentiments and incidents that we unfortunately continue to see happening out there."
