NEW YORK - Nyenta -- The Find Your ID NYC (https://fyidnyc.com/) podcast Identity has your Wednesday evening covered! This soul-searching and conscious-thinking podcast focuses on the concept of discovering one's identity.

Identity continues the environmental and sustainability series for the month of March and celebrates Women's History Month. Hosts Tarik and Caleb welcome Alina Bassi to the show to discuss her identity, the issue of textile waste, her journey to today, and the environment's impact on fashion.

Alina is a Chemical Engineer turned entrepreneur with a passion for sustainability. With seven years of experience designing and building factories that turn waste into energy and biofuels, she decided to start her own venture, Kleiderly, to tackle the issue of textile waste. She has developed an award-winning, patent-pending solution to transform textile waste into a plastic alternative, which can be used to produce anything from furniture to clothing hangers to sunglasses. She is an advocate for women in STEM, as well as one of the founding members of Tech In Colour, an initiative supporting female founders of colour to raise investment. More recently, she joined the Forbes 30 under 30 class of 2020, in the Manufacturing and Industry category.
