BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Nyenta -- Sheep In Space, LLC, the team that brought you the documentary featurettes showcased in the groundbreaking Digital Eclipse release, LLAMASOFT: THE JEFF MINTER STORY, is thrilled to announce the launch of the Kickstarter campaign to release HEART OF NEON, the continuing story of video game legend Jeff Minter's unique, unprecedented 40-year career.

Jeff has been a video game developer since the beginning of the 1980s, and has outlasted almost every other solo game developer who started at the same time, developing games for nearly every major platform along the way. Through the story of Jeff's exceptional career is the unique opportunity to witness the video game industry evolving, as seen from the perspective of an outsider. Jeff Minter is a game designer who never gave up, and HEART OF NEON is an extraordinary story that no fan of the history of video games can afford to miss!

The film's director, Paul Docherty, has a background in video games himself: "In the late 1980s I was a video games graphics artist. At the time it was a huge part of my life. While he has partnered with many distribution companies over the years, Jeff makes the games he wants to make. It's the name of his company that goes over the title. About Director Paul Docherty: Starting out as a video games graphics designer in the 1980s, Paul has worked in film and television now for over two decades. Starting out as an assistant editor for Ken Burns at Florentine Films, he has gone on to edit documentaries such as FACING FORWARD: A STUDENT'S STORY for PBS, and JODOROWSKY'S DUNE for SONY PICTURES CLASSICS. His animation has also appeared in television documentaries including GENESIS: TOGETHER AND APART, and LENNON NYC.

HEART OF NEON is Paul's first feature documentary as director.
