NEW YORK - Nyenta -- Indie Pop band Sub-Radio is bursting with liveliness in their latest single "What You Want To Hear," available worldwide on February 24th. Following the release of their 2020 EP Thoughts Lights Colors Sounds, "What You Want To Hear" introduces a groovy soundscape, encompassing bright Pop synths, vocals, and guitar riffs— one that emboldens listeners with carefree exhilaration. Collaborating with producer Andrew Maury (known for his work with COIN, Lizzo, and Shawn Mendes) to master the self-produced single, Sub-Radio has created a thrilling song that is bound to get you moving.

Composed of six childhood friends with various instrumental talents, Sub-Radio originally wrote "What You Want To Hear" in 2017. They couldn't imagine that things would get any more chaotic and unsettling as it had been back then. "Now of course the times are even stranger, and it seemed like a good time to let 'What You Want To Hear' out into the world. We want this song to give a little hope to people, a little nudge to hold the people around them tighter," says Adam Bradley, the lead singer.

In "What You Want To Hear," Adam Bradley belts out lyrics about juggling how to care for himself and the people around him while living "9-to-5 in a nightmare." He encourages his listeners to have strength, as he recognizes that we are all bigger than our fears. Accentuating his vocals, skittering synths, a driving drum pattern, and a propulsive guitar riff come together to highlight the band's signature intensity. "The song itself is bursting at the seams with little synth parts and noises and moments, which is a lot like how we all feel right now. A little overstimulated," says Matt Prodanovich, the lead guitarist.

Showcasing their dynamic and inspiring renditions of Indie Pop styles, Sub-Radio has built a worldwide following through an impressive stream of releases and livestream shows. The band has embarked on a pandemic-induced virtual Reddit tour, reaching over 4 million unique viewers in 5 months. Their latest single "What You Want To Hear" is a pop blast of love and compassion in the face of adversity.
