Inspired by a young girl's final wish, this heartfelt 45-minute digital event honors survivors and the mission to help patients in need of a bone marrow transplant. Free with RSVP. Donations welcome.

NEW YORK - Nyenta -- The Icla da Silva Foundation is hosting a free virtual event to highlight the personal stories of families impacted by a bone marrow transplant. Celebrate survivors, and remember those we've lost. The program, "Keeping Her Dream Alive," will be live on Tuesday, June 25 at 7:00 PM ET and runs approximately 45 minutes.

Attendance is free, but RSVP is required to receive the viewing link.

This heartfelt event was inspired by Icla da Silva, a 13-year-old girl who passed away from leukemia. Her family sold everything and travelled from Brazil to the U.S. in search of a cure. While in treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Icla wrote a note to her mother that became the Foundation's guiding light:

"Mãezinha (Mommy), I'm fine. Don't worry about me. Please help my friends."

She was referring to the other children she met in the hospital who were also fighting for their lives. Her selfless wish sparked a mission to support patients in need of a bone marrow or cord blood transplant, particularly those facing financial and logistical barriers to care.

It is an opportunity to connect with the mission, celebrate progress, and share a moment of hope with families who are still in treatment today.

While participation is free, donations are welcome. Contributions will directly support the Icla da Silva Foundation's nonprofit work, providing financial, emotional, and logistical support to low-income patients whose only cure is a bone marrow transplant.

Join us on June 25 to honor the dream that started it all—and the lives that continue because of it.
