Loretta Ana Kaufman is Accepted into to Another National Association of Women Artists' Exhibition

NEW YORK - Nyenta -- Loretta Ana Kaufman's acrylic diptych "Little Jewels (Ruby Throat):  Ensemble Series" if one of five paintings and photographs selected to be part of NAWA's exhibition in New York City January – March 2023.

The exhibition was open to all NAWA members nationwide who produce collages, paintings, works on paper, photography, fiber, digital and relief sculptures. Color is often used to enhance our environments, evoke a mood or create response in the viewer. Flushing Bank and NAWA present an exhibition of art which uses color to positively influence productivity, creativity and mood.  The exhibition will take place at Flushing Bank, 225 Park Avenue South, New York City, NY, January 9 – March 31, 2023.  Mon-F 9 am-4 pm, Sat 9-1. ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kaufman is a painter and sculptor in Nashville, Tennessee.   Her 2D and 3D work has been exhibited in South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea and Italy.  In 2020 the Tennessee Arts Commission curated a retrospective encompassing paintings, works on paper, sculptures and collages.  Some recent awards are Honorable Mention in 2022 for her acrylic painting in NAWA's exhibition, Art of Healing, at the New York Public Library in Manhattan, the Medal of Honor in NAWA's Annual Exhibition for sculpture in 2020, and the Cutting Edge Award (open to all media) for an acrylic painting in NAWA's Annual Exhibition in Manhattan in 2018.  She was presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Who Who's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017 for her sustained involvement in the visual arts.  Her paintings and sculptures have been exhibited and won awards in Fusion Art's international exhibitions since 2015. Loretta's work has been published in numerous international journals, and her oil painting was published in 2018 in the book of poetry 'Gate Posts With No Gate-The Leg Paint Project' which carries an endorsement from author and curator Sean Hemingway.
