BUFFALO, N.Y. - Nyenta -- Newsweek has ranked The McGuire Group's Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg as No. 20 and Brookhaven Health Care Facility in East Patchogue as No. 21 out of more than 600 facilities in New York state for the 2025 Best Nursing Homes report. This makes them the second and third-highest-ranked proprietary facilities in the state and among the nation's top 1,050 facilities out of 14,858 analyzed.
Newsweek partnered with global data research firm Statista to create the annual ranking. The evaluation is based on four pillars including performance data, peer recommendations, accreditations and resident satisfaction. Nursing homes in the 25 states with the highest number of facilities, according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS, 2024) were considered in the study.
"The rankings reflect our desire to develop and implement clinically sophisticated programs and services that make an impactful difference in the lives of our residents and the health care community as a whole," stated Chief Executive Officer, Susan Grigg, RN, BSN, CRRN, LNC, LNHA.

The survey data was collected from June to July 2024. Statista used Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) data to determine the performance of nursing homes. For peer recommendations, it invited thousands of medical experts to participate in an online survey. As an additional element, accreditations from the Joint Commission and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) were included in the scoring model, where available.
The overall rating is the weighted average of the performance data score 52%, the reputation score 33%, the accreditation score 10% and the resident satisfaction score 5%.
Autumn View and Brookhaven Health Care Facilities offer post-acute rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, palliative care and respite/short-term care. For more information visit http://www.livinglegendshealth.com.
