The Recovery Method Launches National Initiative to Transform Postpartum Care in America

DENVER - Nyenta -- In a bold move to reshape how America supports new mothers, The Recovery Method has officially launched its nationwide platform, redefining postpartum care through education, community, and advocacy. Founded by a healthcare professional and mother who experienced firsthand the profound lack of support for postpartum women, The Recovery Method is a one-stop, evidence-based resource for both moms and the providers who serve them.

This initiative arrives at a critical moment. Maternal health outcomes in the U.S. remain among the worst in developed countries, and postpartum care is often inconsistent, underfunded, and misunderstood. The Recovery Method is here to change that. Founder Dr. Naha Pandya has a different vision for what support looks like.  She states,

"When a baby is born, so is a mother, and she deserves care, support, and a community that sees her," says the founder of The Recovery Method. "We're committed to filling the gaps in postpartum care with accessible resources, a provider network, and live community events that offer real solutions."

The United States has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the developed world, and Black and Indigenous mothers are disproportionately affected. Meanwhile, mental health concerns, postpartum physical complications, and social isolation are on the rise. Yet most mothers are discharged from the hospital with only one follow-up appointment weeks later.

The Recovery Method was built to address this crisis and empower mothers to recover fully: physically, mentally, and emotionally.

"Our system was never designed with women's full healing in mind. That ends now. The Recovery Method is here to change how we talk about, deliver, and experience postpartum care for good."

Why This Matters

The traditional postpartum model focuses almost exclusively on infant care, leaving mothers without adequate guidance for their own recovery. The Recovery Method flips the script. Through an interdisciplinary approach rooted in compassion, inclusivity, and science, it offers:
  • A comprehensive digital education library for both providers and mothers

  • A growing database of postpartum care professionals, doulas, therapists, and coaches

  • Guidance on self-advocacy, body image, nutrition, and emotional resilience

  • Evidence-based recovery resources available at your fingertips

The Recovery Method believes postpartum recovery should be a standard part of maternal care and not an afterthought.

Calling All Providers: Help Us Revolutionize Care

The Recovery Method is actively seeking healthcare partners, support networks, and wellness professionals committed to advancing postpartum health. With nationally recognized partners such as Shugie, Progress Through Play, YANAM2M, and Chicago Family Doulas, The Recovery Method looks to continue to expand its reach and support for new mothers.  Providers can join the network, contribute expertise, and be part of a national movement to standardize and humanize postpartum care.

This isn't just a website, it's a movement. We need physicians, midwives, doulas, lactation consultants, physical and occupational therapists, mental health specialists, and community leaders to be part of the future of maternal health."
