Frida Kahlo, the Mexican artist known for her colorful uniqueness and eclectic taste will serve as inspiration for this fun, outdoor, family friendly event.

MOUNT DORA, Fla. - Nyenta -- The 3rd annual Mount Dora Viva La Frida Festival will be held on Saturday, September 27 from 11am to 7pm in Donnelly Park . The event will feature a variety of live bands playing music from rock to salsa throughout the day. More than 50 fun vendors will be set up to sell a variety of goods as well as original art, and delicious festival food will be offered along with beer, wine, and cocktails on site. Orlando distiller Caribbean Moonshine will offer free rum tastings to adult guests.
Get dressed up and enter the Frida look-alike contest or sit back and vote for your favorite.  Raffle tickets are available for a chance to win a special 14-year-old bottle of Adictivo Tequilla (a $1000 value)

During the event and through October 12, the MDCA Gallery will feature artists at the "The Spirit of Frida" exhibition highlighting artwork in their individual styles to showcase their personal stories and cultural heritage while expressing the colorful uniqueness and moral complexities that Frida Kahlo represented. All artwork will be available for sale. The gallery is located at 847 E.5th Ave Mount Dora, FL.

There is no fee to attend this year, and the City of Mount Dora offers free shuttle service from lots throughout town. Shuttle information can be found at Downtown Mt Dora Parking Information
