Brooklyn-based film company founded by a creative disruptor, aims to shift culture through story. creates shoots, events, and AI tools to empower bold new voices in media.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Nyenta -- BROOKLYN, N.Y. — New Renaissance Films is a Brooklyn-based creative studio and production house amplifying the power of story to create truth, connection, and cultural change. Founded by Peterson Rodriguez, known as Sinpetta, the company produces socially charged films, community-rooted events, and innovative AI storytelling tools that serve artists, organizers, and visionaries across the globe.

At its core, New Renaissance Films is where film meets movement. In addition to producing original narrative and documentary work, the company offers professional film shoots, live event documentation, editing services, and AI-powered toolkits designed to help creators and communities bring their messages to life.

Sinpetta—Brooklyn native, foster care survivor, and multi-hyphenate creative—launched the studio as both sanctuary and megaphone. With a focus on healing, honesty, and representation, New Renaissance Films is proud to introduce its current slate of projects:
  • "Less Home" – A searing documentary examining the lives of homeless Black and brown New Yorkers, offering an unfiltered look at human dignity amid systemic neglect.
  • "Hustle Hive" – A vibrant documentary following a collective of women entrepreneurs who are building legacy, equity, and community in the heart of NYC.
  • "That I Cannot Change" – A bold narrative feature about a young woman living with PCOS who attacks a trans woman in a moment of internalized pain and misdirected rage. The story unpacks identity trauma, misrepresentation, and the wounds women carry—both seen and unseen.

Alongside these projects, the company also runs Thrive Youth Storytellers—a creative empowerment platform that uses writing, film, workshops, and movement to help young people reclaim their voices and share their truths.

"New Renaissance isn't just a film company—it's an act of resistance," says Sinpetta. "We make space for what others erase. We shoot stories that matter. And we hand people the tools to create their own revolutions."

More experimental films, cultural collaborations, and digital offerings are already in the works.
