~ The New Rochelle Youth Bureau is introducing a new program for elementary school students in grades 3-5 called STEP University. Through the sport of Stepping, participants will learn teamwork, creative expression, and valuable life lessons. Up to 50 youth will be selected for the "Elite Steppers" team and attend practice three times per week to build skills and prepare for competitions and showcases. High School Steppers from New Rochelle will serve as mentors for the elementary school youth and assist them with step dancing routines. Tryouts will be held on March 23rd and 24th from 3:30 pm -6pm at New Rochelle High School House Two cafeteria. Both girls and boys are encouraged to sign up for the tryouts.
