~ New Rochelle, NY- On September 25th, 2024, at approximately 10:39am, New Rochelle Detectives and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force successfully apprehended Nana K Gyapong, a 25-year-old resident of McLeansville, North Carolina. Gyapong was arrested on a full extradition warrant issued by Jefferson County, Alabama for two counts of Human Trafficking in the first degree.

The FBI Safe Streets Task Force received information that Gyapong was in the New Rochelle area and located him at the LA Fitness parking lot on Nardozzi Place. Without incident, New Rochelle Police took Gyapong into custody.
Gyapong is facing charges under New York State Criminal Procedure Law Section 570.06 for being a fugitive from justice and committing out-of-state crimes. These charges carry a felony classification and Gyapong will be held accountable for his actions.
