~ On Saturday, October 26th, 2024, at approximately 1:28pm, a call was made to the New Rochelle Police Department reporting a physical altercation between two women in front of 71 Lincoln Avenue. Responding officers arrived at the scene and were met with a complex situation.

One of the women involved was visibly agitated and uncooperative. In an effort to de-escalate the situation, the officers called for assistance from the Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT). However, the individual refused help and even made a direct threat towards the officers, stating she would "pop" them.

Further investigation revealed that the woman was in possession of a loaded handgun at the time she issued the threat. Despite this dangerous discovery, our officers handled the situation with professionalism and were able to resolve it without using force.

The suspect has been identified as Olivia Wilson, a 27-year-old resident of New Rochelle. She has been arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree, and Assault in the Third Degree.
