~ New Rochelle Police Department Makes Arrest in Year-Long Graffiti Investigation
After over a year of dealing with a series of graffiti incidents, the New Rochelle Police Department has finally made an arrest. On December 27th, 2024, detectives arrested 42-year-old Daniel Henderson of Yonkers, NY in connection with the "One Slice Please" graffiti movement that has been plaguing the city and surrounding areas.
The investigation into the serial graffiti artist began when detectives were assigned to look into multiple reports of vandalism throughout New Rochelle. The suspect had tagged at least 13 locations with either a slice of pizza or the slogan "1sliceplease.com." Through diligent work and gathering of leads, detectives were able to identify Henderson as the primary suspect.
Henderson was taken into custody on December 27th and charged with three counts of Making Graffiti (PL 145.60). However, additional charges may be added as the investigation continues. The New Rochelle Police Department is also working closely with 14 other jurisdictions that have been affected by the "One Slice Please" graffiti.
