~ New Rochelle, NY- The New Rochelle Youth Bureau's Youth Council and the NAACP NRHS Youth Chapter are teaming up to honor local heroes at their first annual "Champions of Change" Awards Ceremony. This event, in celebration of Black History Month, will take place on Friday, February 28th at 6 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

The ceremony aims to recognize and celebrate the contributions of three youth and four adults who have made a positive impact on the New Rochelle community. According to Diana Fosella, Assistant Director of the Youth Bureau, this event is a way to honor the unsung heroes among us.

The honorees will be recognized for their remarkable achievements and their contributions towards building a stronger and more equitable community. The event also serves as an opportunity for attendees to find inspiration for future work in creating a better community.
