~ New Rochelle, NY- As the holiday season approaches, Parks and Recreation, along with their partners, have announced a lineup of festive events for families to enjoy. From letters to Santa to a New Year's Eve celebration, there is something for everyone to get into the holiday spirit.
Starting on December 2nd and running through the 20th, children can drop off their letters to Santa at the North Pole mailbox in front of City Hall or mail them directly to New Rochelle Parks & Recreation. Be sure to include your name and address so Santa can write back!
On December 4th from 5PM-8PM, families can take a selfie with Santa at City Hall's front steps. For those driving in, enter via Hamilton Ave. If walking, enter via North Ave. Don't forget your phone for this memorable photo opportunity.
The holiday festivities continue on December 7th with two events. Rudolph Rocks New Ro will take place at Ruby Dee Park from 2PM-4PM. Families can enjoy a winter wonderland with Rudolph characters, music and dancing, holiday crafts, and even a gingerbread bounce house. Dress up like a reindeer with provided antlers and red noses for added fun.

Later that day at 4:30PM on Memorial Plaza, the Chamber of Commerce will host their annual Holiday Lighting event. This celebration will feature music, snacks, hot cocoa, and even a chance to take a photo with Santa himself.
Santa will also be making his rounds through various parks in New Rochelle on December 14th starting at 9AM. Stops include Maplewood Park, Pinebrook Park, Huguenot Park, Ryan Sinkfield Park, Lincoln Park, Feeney Park, Flowers (City) Park, Stephenson Park,Ruby Dee Park,Bacey Housing,and Hudson Park.
To ring in the new year with the little ones,Kids Roc'n New Year's Eve will take place on December 31st from 11AM-12PM at Ryan Sinkfield Park. Families can enjoy music, games, arts and crafts, hot cocoa, and a confetti countdown to welcome in the new year.
