~ New Rochelle Police were alerted by the Westchester County Real Time Crime Center on Friday, August 2nd at approximately 4:12pm about a vehicle that was linked to a theft of a purse in Greenburgh. The vehicle was reported to be in the vicinity of Home Depot in New Rochelle.
Upon receiving this information, New Rochelle Police quickly located the vehicle parked and unoccupied in the Home Depot parking lot. They immediately set up surveillance on the car while notifying Greenburgh PD Detectives to continue their investigation.
Before Greenburgh PD Detectives could arrive, three individuals returned to the suspect vehicle and began to drive away. New Rochelle Officers promptly stopped the vehicle and upon further investigation, discovered that all three occupants had extraditable warrants out of Delaware. It was also revealed that they had just made a fraudulent purchase at Home Depot.

During their search of the vehicle, officers found four PlayStation 5 consoles, two Nintendo Switch gaming devices, and other bagged items in plain sight. Further investigation revealed that these suspects had allegedly made another fraudulent purchase at GameStop before coming to Home Depot. The total value of the stolen property found in their possession was $6359.68.
The three suspects were taken into custody without incident by New Rochelle Police for local charges as well as for their extraditable warrants out of Delaware. They were identified as Luis Arellano-Corrales (31 years old), Monica Cuba-Medina (38 years old), and Marco Rodriguez-Perez (58 years old), all from Paterson, NJ.
The charges against them include two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree under NYS Penal Law Section 145.45, Grand Larceny 4th Degree under NYS Penal Law Section 155.30, and Fugitive from Justice under NYS Criminal Procedure Law Section 570.06 for being wanted out of state for felony charges.
The New Rochelle Police Department is urging anyone with information related to this incident to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
