~ New Rochelle, NY - In the early hours of April 8th, 2024, New Rochelle Police received a call from an anonymous source reporting a person with a gun at the Pit Stop gas station on 819 Main Street. The caller provided limited information, only mentioning that the suspect was driving a Blue Corvette with Connecticut license plates.
Upon receiving the call, officers immediately began to search the area and eventually located a Blue Corvette with Connecticut plates parked outside the Drake Main Café on 1 Drake Ave, just a short distance away from the gas station. The driver of the vehicle was found and taken into custody for further investigation.
The individual was identified as Feras Khrisat, a 51-year-old resident of Queens, NY. After conducting a thorough investigation, officers discovered that Khrisat was in possession of illegal drugs and a loaded .45 caliber handgun inside his Corvette.

Khrisat has been charged with multiple offenses under New York State Penal Law including Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree - a Class C felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree - a Class A misdemeanor, and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree - also a Class A misdemeanor.
Despite extensive efforts by law enforcement, no evidence was found to support the initial report of Khrisat displaying his gun at the Pit Stop gas station. However, anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact New Rochelle Police at 914-654-2300.
This arrest serves as another example of New Rochelle Police's commitment to keeping their community safe and taking swift action against those who break the law.
