~ New Rochelle, NY - The City of New Rochelle has been awarded a Clean Mobility Grant from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to improve their existing public transportation service, CircuitNR. The grant will also allow for exploration of other energy efficient and zero emissions modes of transportation in the city.
The main goal of this initiative is to enhance and encourage the use of shared transportation within New Rochelle. In order to achieve this, the city is seeking feedback from residents and visitors through a 5-minute survey. The survey aims to gather opinions on potential improvements to CircuitNR services, such as faster routes to key destinations like the Transit Center, while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
