Bramson then discussed New Rochelle's commitment to environmental sustainability. He mentioned a comprehensive update of GreeNR – the city's award-winning sustainability plan – as well as generational investments in infrastructure and long-term assets such as a city-wide storm analysis and a new Public Works Operations Center.
The mayor also praised the work of various municipal departments including New Rochelle's First Responders who have helped bring the city's crime rate to a near 60-year low. He also highlighted the city's commitment to inclusion and equity by mentioning its creation of new affordable housing, expanded youth programming, and enhanced partnerships with not-for-profit service agencies.
In conclusion, Bramson said that "the state of our city is strong" and expressed his satisfaction in knowing that New Rochelle was "ready to go boldly and in full sail to any shore we choose."
