~ New Rochelle, NY - On January 23rd, 2024, at approximately 5:59pm, the New Rochelle Police Department received a report of a menacing with a handgun at Broccoli Smoke Shop located at 394 North Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the suspect had already fled the scene.
However, at around 7:19pm, police received another call stating that the suspect had returned to the scene. Responding officers were able to apprehend the suspect without any incident. The suspect was identified as Isaiah Sutton, a 21-year-old resident of New Rochelle.

During the arrest, police found Sutton in possession of a small silver 9mm handgun. Further investigation revealed that the incident began as a dispute between Sutton and the business owner.
Sutton has been charged with Menacing in the Second Degree with a weapon and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree under New York State Penal Law Sections 120.14 and 265.03 respectively. Both charges are considered felonies.
