The New Rochelle Police Department held its Memorial & Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 14 at 9:00 AM at the Greentree Country Club. City and Police officials gathered with families, friends and community leaders to pay tribute to the New Rochelle Police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty and recognize the distinguished accomplishments of current department members.

Honorees included Detective Adalberto Aguilar- Police Officer of the Year, Detective Jon Bulfamante- New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce Investigator of the Year, Community Service Officer Latoya White- Civilian Employee of the Year, and Lieutenant Edward Hayes, Community Engagement and Outreach Award.

"During this annual ceremony we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and celebrate those who serve the department with distinction. Their courage and commitment deserve our respect and gratitude." said Commissioner Robert Gazzola.
