~ New Rochelle, NY- The City of New Rochelle Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce two upcoming Tailgating events on Saturday, January 18th. These events are open to the community and offer a fun way to come together and celebrate game day.

The first event, the Kick-Off Party and Family Tailgate, will take place from 11AM to 1PM at Downtown REC, a new space located in New Roc City at 33 LeCount Place on the 2nd floor. Families and youth are invited to join in on the festivities which will include a Cheer Clinic, inflatable games, snacks, and more. Registration is required for this free event and interested participants can contact Lisa Flowers, Recreation Supervisor at 914-654-2085 for more information.

Later in the day, adults ages 21 and over can experience their own tailgating fun at Downtown Tailgate. This event is in partnership with the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) and will take place from 4PM to 7PM at Anderson Plaza. Attendees can enjoy classic tailgate games while dressed in their favorite team colors. Outdoor heaters will be set up to keep everyone warm, but it is advised to dress appropriately for the cold weather. Delicious food and beverages will also be available for purchase from Spectators Sports Bar.

Both events promise a lively atmosphere filled with camaraderie and team spirit. So mark your calendars for Saturday, January 18th and join in on the fun!
