~ New Rochelle, NY - On the evening of March 18, 2025, the New Rochelle Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting a fire in the parking spaces behind the CVS pharmacy on Lawton Street. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that two vehicles were engulfed in flames and immediately called for assistance from the New Rochelle Fire Department.

After extinguishing the blaze, fire officials alerted police that the incident appeared to be suspicious. Further investigation revealed that a dark-colored BMW SUV, registered to Mark Turner, was the source of the fire. The flames then spread to an adjacent SUV, resulting in both vehicles being completely destroyed.

Witnesses reported seeing a male dressed in all black near the scene before the fire broke out. According to their accounts, the individual was seen moving between the BMW and a nearby trash receptacle multiple times before smoke began billowing from the vehicle. The male then calmly walked away from the scene as the BMW became fully engulfed.
