~ The New Rochelle Police Department is proud to announce the launch of their new Cadet Program, inviting youth residents ages 14-17 to apply. The program will meet on Thursday nights at Police Headquarters, 475 North Avenue from 5:00pm-7:30pm, ending on Thursday, May 2.
The program will provide participants with a comprehensive introduction to law enforcement and their local Police Department. Classes will focus on responsibility, teamwork and leadership skills while exploring various police topics. The program replicates and condenses the Police Recruit Academy and will include hands on training, physical training, and scenario-based training. Cadets will have the opportunity to participate in Police events as well as get a chance to meet and engage with Police Officers from their community.
