~ On February 12, 2025, a successful operation was carried out by the New Rochelle Police Criminal Investigations Division. Detectives executed a search warrant at an apartment located at 50 Sickles Avenue, resulting in the seizure of illegal drugs, cash, and firearms. The two individuals present at the scene were arrested and charged with multiple offenses.

The search yielded a total of 124 glassine envelopes containing a mixture of heroin and fentanyl, along with $7,430 in suspected drug proceeds. In addition, a loaded Smith & Wesson .40 caliber pistol reported stolen from Georgia and one high-capacity magazine were also confiscated by the detectives.

As a result of this operation, Ronald Ackridge, 69 years old, and Rocco Forte, 68 years old, both residents of New Rochelle were arrested. They have been charged with various offenses under New York State Penal Law Sections including criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree - a C felony; criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree - high capacity feeding device - a D felony; criminal possession of stolen property - stolen firearm - an E felony; criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell - a B felony; and criminal possession of a controlled substance - an A misdemeanor.

The New Rochelle Police Department is committed to keeping the community safe from illegal activities and will continue to take necessary actions to combat crime.
