~ New Rochelle's City Hall is currently hosting an exhibit that celebrates the art of self-portraits. Titled SELF, the exhibit is curated by Lynn Honeysett, the Gallery Chair of New Rochelle Council on the Arts (NRCA). The exhibit features works from various artists and will be on display until November 29th at the NRCA Rotunda Gallery.
According to Honeysett, self-portraits have always been a way for artists to explore and practice their techniques using themselves as models. She believes that these portraits offer a unique perspective and allow viewers to see things through the artist's lens. From statements of identity to passing moods, SELF showcases a diverse range of self-expressions.
