~ New Rochelle, NY - The City of New Rochelle is pleased to announce a series of upcoming City Council Neighborhood Meetings in April and May. These meetings aim to facilitate direct communication between residents, City leaders, and municipal departments, providing an opportunity for community members to engage in meaningful discussions, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of local issues and City initiatives.

The meetings will feature the Mayor and Council Members from each district, as well as senior staff from key departments such as Police, Fire, Public Works, Development, Parks & Recreation, Finance, City Clerk, Personnel, and Public Information. Attendees will have the chance to interact directly with City officials and department leaders to share their opinions and provide input.

Mayor Yadira Ramos-Herbert expressed the importance of these Neighborhood Meetings in promoting transparency, collaboration, and community engagement. "We encourage all residents to attend these meetings," she said. "It is an opportunity for them to voice their opinions and learn more about our efforts to improve our city."

To ensure accessibility for all residents, the meetings will be held at various locations throughout the city. The dates, times, and locations are as follows:

- Districts 5 & 6: April 21 at Ward Elementary School Cafeteria located at 311 Broadfield Road

- District 4: April 22 at New Rochelle Public Library located at 1 Library Plaza

- District 3: April 29 at Remington Boys & Girls Club located at 1 Remington Place

- Districts 1 & 2: May 14 at Jefferson Elementary School Cafeteria located at 131 Weyman Avenue

For those who may need transportation assistance to attend the meetings within their Council district, free rides will be available through CircuitNR - New Rochelle's free electric shuttle service. Residents can download the Ride Circuit App on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Residents who are unsure of their Council district can find it on the City's website at https://www.newrochelleny.com/districtmaps. It is encouraged for residents to attend the meeting within their designated district.

The City of New Rochelle looks forward to engaging with its residents and fostering a stronger sense of community through these Neighborhood Meetings.
