This exception to the City's usual policy is only being made for storm-related damages and is temporary in nature. If an appointment is not made by Wednesday, October 18, collection of construction and demolition debris will revert to private responsibility. Household garbage should be kept separate from construction and demolition debris.
The Buildings Department is available to offer guidance on safety and permitting at (914) 654-2035, while more information and resources can be found at newrochelleny.com/stormupdate. The City of New Rochelle encourages residents to take advantage of these services as they continue their storm recovery efforts.
