~ New Rochelle, NY- The New Rochelle Council on the Arts (NRCA) is proud to present "Ways of Seeing," a photography exhibit inspired by the classic book by art critic, novelist, and painter John Berger. The exhibit will be on display at the NRCA Rotunda Gallery from February 18th to March 28th.
Curated by NRCA Board member Christine Ramage, "Ways of Seeing" features the personal work of six renowned photographers: Pari Dukovic, Sophy Holland, Eric Ogden, Allison Orenstein, Victoria Will, and Lelanie Foster. Each photographer brings a unique perspective to their images based on their personal experiences and professional backgrounds.
Ramage explains that the exhibit aims to challenge viewers to discover new ways of seeing through the lens of these talented photographers. She says, "Every image embodies a way of seeing. Even a photograph. For photographs are not just a mechanical record but a selection made by the photographer from an infinite number of possibilities."
As a Photo Director and creative producer with over 20 years of experience in the industry, Ramage brings her expertise to curating this thought-provoking exhibit. She holds a BFA in Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology and has also studied horticulture at Brooklyn Botanic Gardens Continuing Education program.
