~ New Rochelle, NY - In a move to improve the city's infrastructure and waterfront, the Marina Parking Deck, located off Echo Avenue near the Municipal Marina, is undergoing a major renovation. The project, which is expected to be completed by spring 2025, involves demolishing the existing deteriorating structure that has been in use for over 50 years and replacing it with a new parking deck, three garages, and a new office and headquarters for the Marina staff.
According to Parks and Recreation Commissioner Vin Parise, this project is a significant investment in the city's facilities and will create a more welcoming environment for boaters and visitors. The new facilities are expected to reflect the high-quality services provided by New Rochelle's Harbormaster.
The Marina Parking Deck and lot are popular among visitors to the Marina, boat owners, and patrons of Patsy's restaurant. To accommodate these users during the construction period, the City of New Rochelle has made arrangements for public street parking on Pelham Road with additional spaces available at nearby Hudson Park. The entrance to Patsy's Restaurant has also been relocated to ensure continued access for customers.
