BROOKLYN, N.Y., March 6, 2024 ~ Next In Natural, a leading firm specializing in bespoke operations for emerging organic food and beverage companies, has recently announced the expansion of its new M&A division. This exciting development comes with the appointment of Ted Tieken as the Chief Future Officer at the helm.
Founder and CEO Jeff Lichtenstein expressed his enthusiasm for this growth, stating, "Next In Natural's organic growth is a testament to the quality of both our team and our products." He believes that the addition of Tieken, with his experience as an owner-operator and scaler of better-for-you Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), will strategically position the company for further expansion.
In his new role as Chief Future Officer, Tieken will be responsible for identifying and assessing potential companies to bring under the Next in Natural umbrella. The ideal candidates are those with revenues between $5 - $50 million, preferably in the beverage and salty snack space, and founders who are at an inflection point in their business. These candidates typically have a proven product but need support reengineering or scaling their business. Lichtenstein explains that this is where Next in Natural's unique operating model comes into play, allowing founders to focus on what they do best while the company handles the rest.

Aside from identifying and assessing new companies, Tieken will also lead Next in Natural's inaugural equity raise, support their commitment to research and development, and provide operational guidance to accelerate the growth of their portfolio companies.
Tieken brings a wealth of experience to his new role at Next in Natural. Prior to joining the company, he served as Founder and CEO of Keto and Co for ten years. Keto and Co is a well-known purveyor of low-carbohydrate snacks, baking mixes, and ready-to-drink meal shakes. He also has an impressive background as an acclaimed analyst at consulting firm McKinsey & Co. Tieken holds a degree in Social Studies from Harvard College.
Tieken is excited about the opportunities that Next in Natural's platform offers for CPG founders. He believes that the company's innovation-focused environment, backed by a seasoned team with a track record of successfully launching and scaling iconic brands, will allow founders to thrive. Tieken states, "Our team has a unique ability to not just find what is next in natural and organic, but to get companies to a sustainable place quickly and then skillfully scale." He looks forward to partnering with the right founders and strategic partners to further Next in Natural's mission of making the world a better place to eat and drink organically.
