New voice-based assistant aims to reduce digital stress and make everyday technology calmer and more accessible for adults 50+. Incubated by Phira Ventures.
NEW YORK - Nyenta -- As everyday life becomes increasingly digital, many older adults are forced to navigate systems that assume speed, familiarity, and constant adaptation. PeterAI, launching soon on US iOS, is a voice-based AI assistant designed specifically to make modern technology more accessible, calm, and understandable for adults 50+.
PeterAI was created from real family experiences. One co-founder watched his father, Peter - a lifelong technology enthusiast - become increasingly frustrated with digital interfaces as he aged while managing Parkinson's. Co-founder Kolya faced similar challenges with his grandmother, Imke - a highly capable and curious woman - who remained independent but struggled with passwords, updates, and cluttered menus.

"Technology should adapt to people, not force people to adapt to technology," said Kolya Moustafa, Co-Founder of PeterAI. "We built PeterAI for our own families - and for millions facing the same quiet frustration."
Key features include:
- Voice-first interaction - No typing, menus, or small buttons required
- Large, simple interface - Easy-to-tap buttons for accessibility
- Calm, read-aloud answers - Patient explanations without technical jargon
- Daily email summaries - Reviewing each day's conversations
- 30-day free trial - Available upon launch
PeterAI is a general-purpose, non-medical AI assistant for everyday questions - weather, news, technology help, and general curiosity. It does not provide medical advice and is not intended to replace caregiving or professional support.
As part of the mission of supporting older adults and caregivers, PeterAI has created free educational seminars and handouts (available on our website), including:
