- New Rochelle: Queen City of the Sound International Jazz Festival
~ New Rochelle is celebrating its first annual Pride Festival on June 10th, with festivities taking place in Ruby Dee Park and Lawton Street. The event will coincide with the city's Summer Sizzle Concert Series, featuring a free performance of Philadelphia Freedom: A Tribute to Elton John.
Mayor Noam Bramson said, "New Rochelle is a welcoming, inclusive community in which all people are encouraged to be their true selves. By celebrating Pride Month in conjunction with our Summer Sizzle Concert Series, we bring our city together and affirm that love is love."
The celebration will include local food vendors such as Carrito, Leila Empanadas, Sweet Spice, Hawaiian Shaved Ice and more. Attendees can also roller skate around the rink or listen to live music from local musicians and a DJ. The City's Mobile City Hall will also be available during the event for residents to interact directly with their local government and access city services.

Community organizations such as the Westchester County Human Rights Commission, New Rochelle Pride, Humane Society of Westchester, Montefiore Medical Center, Center Lane and The Loft will also be present at the event.
City Manager Kathleen Gill said "Ruby Dee Park will be the center of a joyous celebration of diversity, inclusivity and love for Pride in New Rochelle. We are thrilled to honor and support the LGBTQ+ community recognizing their invaluable contributions to the vibrant tapestry of New Rochelle. This special evening within this important month embodies the spirit of acceptance and unity that defines our city."
