Rochester: 2024 Party in the Park concert series eontinues Thursday with tributes to Taylor Swift, 90’s music

~ Rochester, NY- The summer heat is about to get even hotter with the announcement of two exciting performances at Party in the Park. On Thursday, August 8th, Cruel Summer: A LIVE Taylor Swift Band Experience and Dial Up: An Ultimate 90's Tribute will take the stage at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., with the show starting at 6:30 p.m.

But that's not all- Party in the Park is now offering Pre-Parties to kick off the fun even earlier. Thanks to partnerships with local businesses on East Avenue and Marshall Street, attendees can enjoy live music and drink specials before heading over to the main event.

This weekly concert series will continue every Thursday through August 15th, concluding with a performance by Everclear and Shamarr Allen. General admission tickets are available for $7, with children 12 and under admitted for free. For those looking for a VIP experience, Ultra Lounge tickets are available for $35 (while supplies last) and must be purchased in advance. Tickets can be purchased online at RochesterEvents.com or in-person at the Auditorium Theater.

For those looking for an elevated experience, the Party in the Park VIP Ultra Lounge offers exclusive access to a private area with restrooms, a full cash bar, table service, front stage access, chair massages, and a commemorative lanyard.

Craft beer enthusiasts can also rejoice as there will be a Beer Garden featuring some of New York State's best IPAs, ciders, stouts, and more. And for those who prefer something bubbly, the Bubbly Bar will also be returning with prosecco and mimosas. Happy hour specials will be available from 6-7:30 p.m. at each show.

In addition to great music and drinks, Party in the Park also offers Bazaar in the Park, a weekly collective of emerging designers, vintage collectors, and artisanal products. This creates a community around art, crafts, fashion, and discovery with new vendors arriving every other week.

While enjoying the festivities, patrons are allowed to bring one sealed bottle of water into the concert. However, lawn chairs, bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, and pets are prohibited.

For those driving to the event, parking is available at nearby parking garages including the Washington Square Garage, Court Street Garage, East End Garage, and The Strong Museum.

But the party doesn't stop there- attendees can also enjoy Pre-Parties before each show. On East Avenue between Union and Alexander from 4-6 p.m., LIVE BEFORE FIVE presented by Canandaigua National Bank will offer live music and drink specials at various locations including Aqua Vitae and Axes & Ales. And at Strangebird Brewery on Marshall Street every Monday and Thursday during the Party in the Park series, there will be happy hour specials from 5-7 p.m. on Mondays and themed activities on Thursdays.
