~ The City of Rochester is on the lookout for qualified organizations to serve as Street Liaisons in each of the four quadrants of the city. This initiative aims to support local businesses, attract new investments, and promote economic growth along key commercial corridors.

In a recent press release, the City announced that it will be selecting Street Liaisons through a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process. The selected liaisons will be responsible for serving in specific areas within the city, including Northwest, Northeast, Southwest/Downtown, and Southeast.

The Northwest quadrant includes Lyell Avenue, Dewey Avenue, Lake Avenue, and West Ridge Road. The Northeast quadrant covers Joseph Avenue/Portland Avenue, Hudson Avenue, North Clinton Avenue (with a preference for Spanish-speaking ability), and the Public Market area. The Southwest/Downtown quadrant includes West Main Street, Chili Avenue, Jefferson Avenue/South Plymouth Avenue, Brooks Avenue/Thurston Road/Arnett Boulevard, and Genesee Street. Lastly, the Southeast quadrant covers South Clinton Avenue, South Avenue, and Monroe Avenue/Goodman Plaza/East Main Street.

The Street Liaison program aims to strengthen relationships between local businesses and City resources. Selected liaisons will work closely with the City's Business Development Division and Neighborhood Service Centers to provide hands-on support to small businesses through outreach efforts, technical assistance programs, and access to financial resources.

Interested organizations can submit their qualifications until Friday April 11th at 1 p.m. More information about the RFQ process can be found on the City's website at cityofrochester.gov/rfq-street-liaison-program.
