~ Rochester Mayor Malik D. Evans has announced a new round of funding for arts programming and projects through the city's ArtsBloom program. The program aims to support local artists and small arts organizations by providing financial assistance for their creative ideas.
Mayor Evans expressed his enthusiasm for public art, stating that it plays a crucial role in enhancing the city's environment and fostering a sense of community. He encouraged all individuals with innovative ideas to submit their proposals to ArtsBloom for consideration and take advantage of this opportunity to bring their projects to life.
To be eligible for an ArtsBloom grant, programming or projects must fall under one or more of four categories: arts education, literary arts, performing arts, and visual arts. The project must also be located within the city limits. A total of $100,000 has been allocated for funding in 2025, with three options available. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2025.
