~ In a statement released today, Mayor Malik D. Evans announced that Department of Environmental Services (DES) Commissioner Richard Perrin will be stepping down from his position in the City of Rochester to pursue other opportunities. His last day in office will be Friday, November 15.
Mayor Evans expressed his gratitude for Perrin's dedication and expertise during his nearly three-year tenure, stating, "I thank Rich for his commitment and leadership in completing several important initiatives within the Department of Environmental Services."

Perrin began his role as Commissioner on January 1, 2022 and was officially confirmed by the City Council on January 18, 2022. In the interim, DES Deputy Commissioner Kabutey Ocansey will serve as Acting Commissioner until a new permanent Commissioner is appointed.
