Rochester: Mayor Evans Encourages Residents to Heed Monroe County Department of Health Advisories

~ In response to the significant decline in air quality in Rochester caused by Canadian wildfires, Mayor Malik D. Evans has asked that all R-Center, sports fields, Sports Complex, Rochester Animal Services, and City Library activities take place inside. Any outdoor events that cannot be moved inside will be canceled.

Mayor Evans stated that he is staying in close contact with Monroe County and the Department of Health and encourages all city residents and workers to heed their recommendations. He also emphasized the importance of health and well-being of young people and those with health risk factors.
