Sarah Novotny's career reflects her dedication to the open source community. She has served on the Boards of Directors for the Linux Foundation and Node.js Foundation, shaping OSS policies and strategies. As Google's Head of Open Source Strategy, she integrated OSS into Google's operations while fostering collaboration with the broader community.

Her most recent role as Director of Open Source Ecosystem at Microsoft Azure highlights her expertise. There, she led initiatives like the "Getting Great at Linux" project, while strengthening partnerships with the Linux Foundation, Eclipse Foundation, and Open Source Security Foundation.
